Browns RB Quinshon Judkins could make his debut sooner than anticipated

The Cleveland Browns struggled to move the ball on the ground in their Week 1 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. While rookie Dylan Sampson impressed as a receiver out of the backfield, the Browns need more from their ground game to take pressure off the 40-year-old arm of Joe Flacco. That relief could come soon as second round pick Quinshon Judkins signed his rookie deal last week.

The Browns were granted a two-week roster exemption for Judkins, who missed all of training camp as he attended to a legal situation. However, the Browns may get him on the field sooner rather than later. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, however, Judkins' highly anticipated debut could come as early as Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. Here is what the NFL insider had to say:

"Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins is scheduled to meet with the NFL this week about its investigation, but there is a real possibility, and even likelihood according to one source, that he will make his NFL debut next Sunday at Baltimore."

The Browns know what they have in Jerome Ford, and it's below average. What they got out of Sampson is hopeful. With Judkins coming back, pairing him with Sampson gives the Browns a young and promising duo to turn to.

That is if Judkins is up to game speed.
