RTI Online Portal – Overview

The RTI Online portal is a secure, web-based platform managed by India's Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). It empowers citizens to:

• Submit RTI applications to Central Government ministries and departments.
• File First Appeals if the initial response is unsatisfactory.
• Check RTI status and view history.
• Access user manuals, FAQs, and payment reconciliation features.

Available payment methods include net banking, Visa/Master/RuPay cards, and UPI.

How to File an RTI Request Online

1. Visit the portal and either register or proceed as a guest—registration isn't mandatory for submission.
2. Click Submit Request and read the user guidelines thoroughly. Confirm understanding and proceed.
3. Fill the form with accurate details (Ministry, personal info, etc.), and enter your text request (up to 3000 characters). For longer texts, upload a PDF (≤ 1 MB).
4. BPL (Below Poverty Line) applicants can upload their BPL certificate to waive the ₹10 application fee. Otherwise, pay ₹10 via acceptable online modes.
5. Upon submission, you’ll receive a unique registration number—retain this for tracking and appeal purposes.
6. The application is electronically transmitted to the concerned Ministry’s Nodal Officer and CPIO (Central Public Information Officer).
7. If required, additional fees (e.g., for photocopies) will be communicated through your RTI portal account or email.

First Appeal Process

• If you're unsatisfied with the initial response or receive no reply within the stipulated time, use the Submit First Appeal option and fill in the details with the original RTI's registration number.
• No further fees are applicable for filing a first appeal.

Tracking Request Progress

Use View Status to track current progress or check history for previous submissions.

Legal Timeframes (RTI Act, 2005)

• Response within 30 days of application.
• In cases involving life or liberty, response is expedited to within 48 hours.
• The RTI Act mandates public authorities to computerize records and actively share information.

आवेदन प्रक्रिया

1. पोर्टल पर जाएँ— रजिस्ट्रेशन वैकल्पिक है।
2. “Submit Request” पर क्लिक करें और दिशा निर्देश पढ़ें।
3. फॉर्म भरें: मंत्रालय, व्यक्तिगत जानकारी, 3000 वर्णों का आवेदन। लंबा हो तो PDF (≤ 1 MB) अपलोड करें।
4. BPL प्रमाणपत्र लगाने पर ₹10 शुल्क में छूट। अन्यथा ऑनलाइन भुगतान करें।
5. सबमिट करते समय आपको पंजीकरण संख्या प्राप्त होगी—आगे ट्रैकिंग/अपील के लिए रखें।

प्रथम अपील

• Submit First Appeal पर जाएँ, मूल RTI पंजीकरण संख्या का उपयोग करें।

இந்த RTI Online Portal இந்திய அரசின் DoPT (அத்தியயன அதிகாரம்) மூலம் நிர்வகிக்கபடும் அதிகாரபூர்வ இணையதளம் ஆகும். இதில், குடிமக்கள்:

• மத்திய அரசு அமைச்சகங்களுக்கு RTI கோரிக்கைகள் சமர்ப்பிக்க ஆரம்பிக்கலாம்.
• முதல் അപിൾ (First Appeal) சமர்ப்பிக்கலாம்.
• RTI நிலை (Status) மற்றும் வரலாற்றை (History) பார்க்கலாம்.

RTI கோரிக்கை செய்வது எப்படி

1. இணையதளத்தை அணுகவும்— பதிவு செய்யவேண்டியதில்லை.
2. “Submit Request” கிளிக் செய்து வழிகாட்டல்களை படிக்கவும்.
3. படிவத்தில் தேவையான விவரங்களை வையவும்—3000 எழுத்து வரை. மேலும் நீளமானவைகளுக்கு PDF (≤ 1 MB) பதிவேற்றவும்.
